Assistant Professor in Chemistry

Dear Sir,
I am pleased to have the opportunity to write to your university. My name is Wail Al Zoubi, and I am currently an Assistant Professor at Yeungnam University in South Korea, where I hold a permanent resident card (Green Card).
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Chemistry
Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Damascus University, Syria (2001–2004)
• Diploma in General Chemistry
Lab of Materials Science, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Damascus University, Syria (2006–2007)
Title: “Polymers Solution Rheology”
• Master’s Degree in Applied Chemistry
Lab of Organic Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Damascus University, Syria (2007–2008)
Title: “Synthesis of Novel Polyamide Based on Dimer Acid”
• Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry
Lab of Organic Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Damascus University, Syria (2009–2013)
Title: “Synthesis of Schiff Bases and Their Application in the Extraction of Metal Cations and Transport Through Liquid Membranes”
During my tenure as a full-time professor at Damascus University and Yarmouk Private University (2012–2015), I served as an Assistant Professor at Damascus University. I taught various courses for undergraduate and graduate students, including Organic Chemistry, Physical Organic Chemistry, Spectroscopy of Organic Compounds, and General Chemistry.
Currently, I supervise two Ph.D. students in my Materials Science lab, focusing on the fabrication of organic-inorganic hybrid materials and their applications. Our research emphasizes (1) the development of highly stable nanomaterials and (2) the preparation of robust organic-inorganic materials.
My expertise includes photo-catalysts, catalytic activity, corrosion science, environmental applications (such as the degradation of dyes and organic compounds in water), organic chemistry, physical organic chemistry, and hybrid organic-inorganic chemistry. I have published 100 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, including Progress in Materials Science [IF 37.4], Advanced Composites and Hybrid Materials [IF 20.1], SusMat [IF 28.4], Materials Today [IF 24.2], Nano Energy [IF 17.6], and InfoMat [IF 23].
I would be grateful for any opportunity to contribute to your university in a capacity that aligns with my research interests. I look forward to your kind reply.
Thank you for your attention.
